Experimental Silo Packer Team 7: Adel Abumohor, J. Michael Tate, Peter Sullivan, Jeffrey Acheson Customer: Dr. Limin KungAdvisor: J. Glancey Mission: The purpose of our team is to design and build a means to quickly and reproducibly load a test silo without requiring extensive manpower. Approach: We will use the engineering method aided by computer programs such as Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project to solve the problem given to us.

Wants 1: Reproducable results 2: Not physically demanding 3: Fast operation 4: Safe 5: Low cost
5
Wants Continued 6: Easily transportable 7: Takes up little space 8: Automatic or pneumatic 9: Variable silo size 10: Simple operation
6
Constraints The design must be able to pass through a normal doorway. The design must be able to be moved by two people. The design must pack a silo faster than the current method. The design must not recess the stopper on the micro silos more than a centimeter. The design should not cost more than $500 to build.
