FAR 61.3 Current and appropriate pilot certificate and medical certificate is required to be in a pilot’s personal possession or readily available in the aircraft when acting as PIC or required flight crewman

61.19 Commercial pilot certificates are issued without a specific expiration date

61.23 A second-class medical certificate expires for commercial pilot purposes at the end of the last day of the 12th month after the month of the date of examination shown on the certificate
