Personas Penelope TripoliSara MariaJake Brian Sara Maria is a 17 year old girl who is from Miami, Florida. She enjoys playing video and computer games and finds herself interested in physically using guns in lifelike situations. She has always wanted to a play a game on the computer where she could see the actual face of the person she’s fighting against. She wants to be able to see her friends who live in different parts of the world through a game. She also states that she would like to pick the surroundings she plays in so that she could fight in any part of the world. Jake Brian is a 24 year-old college student. As a senior at Texas A&M University, he works with the on- campus EMS. There’s a lot of free time for him and his co-workers, so they need an entertainment to pass time. He’s a big fan of first- person action games, especially shooting games. Jake would really like an interface that allows you to, while interacting with others over the internet, see the person you’re playing with/against. He would also like to see something other than a point-and-click input design (e.g. aim-and-shoot). Penelope Tripoli is a 37 year old woman from Russia. She speaks English, but has a faint accent. She likes to play arcade games. She plays video games with her two sons. She beats them. She wants a game that is challenging and is more interactive. Penelope also loves gun games. She goes to an annual deer hunt with her husband. Ironically, she is a vegetarian. Penelope would like a video game that all of her family can play together without any difficulties. She hates that some games are only shown in one point of view. She believes that it restrains potential for true game playing.
