3 Small Business Office The Small Business Office operates pursuant to Public Law 95-507, which assigned the task of fostering the use of small and disadvantaged businesses as federal contractors. To accomplish this task, the SBO develops and implements appropriate outreach programs.

5 Mission Statement The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) serves as the national focus for developing and applying disease prevention and control, environmental health, health promotion and education activities designed to improve the health of the people of the United States.
