2. Coaching Staff In just three seasons, Steve Springthorpe has quickly transformed the Bulldog soccer program into a WAC title contender with annual NCAA Tournament aspirations. His work in turning around the Fresno State soccer program has been acknowledged by the conference, as he enters his fourth season as the reigning WAC Coach of the Year.

3. Coaching Staff Chris Shaw is the latest addition to the Fresno State coaching staff, joining the Bulldogs after spending the last four years as the women's soccer head coach at Mount Olive College in North Carolina.

4. Coaching Staff Christine Johnson enters her second season as an assistant coach for the Bulldog soccer program. Johnson, a four-year starter at the University of Florida from 2001-04, is reunited with head coach Steve Springthorpe, who served as an assistant coach at Florida from 1999-2003 before arriving at Fresno State.

5. Fresno State went 13-5-3 on 2006 setting the record being the only team in the WAC and Fresno State history to have a shut out in Conference play

7. Six Bulldogs Earn 2007 All- WAC Honors Six Bulldogs were named All-WAC performers on Wednesday evening at the Western Athletic Conference tournament banquet in Boise, Idaho. Seniors Andrea Alires and Amanda Reyes, juniors Selena Gill, Nicole Gutierrez and Alison Sill and freshman Kaity Revel earned the honors.

8. Bulldogs Earn Academic Honors Nicole Gutierrez, Selena Gill and Aubrey Tennant have been named to the Third Team ESPN the Magazine District 8 Academic All-District team. All three players carry a 3.2 GPA or better and have been instrumental in the Bulldogs success on and off the soccer field.

9. 2007 results The Bulldogs went 13-8-2 in season play this season They started out a little rocky but by the end of the season they had a consecutive 5 wins making it to the WAC Tournament Championship
