1 Request for Proposal RFP# 2500F03 Radio Reception and Solar Power Balloon Satellite Radio Flyers Engineering is Chris Maytag, Challon Winer, Valerie Slasor, Hwapyong Ko, Kris Hodges and Brian Creber

2 To explore light propagation and radio propagation in the upper atmosphere. The satellite’s primary experiments are the measuring of radio reception/recording and solar radiation levels. Secondary experiments are humidity, pressure and temperature measurements. Mission Overview

3 Project Schedule 11.3.03: Pre-Launch Readiness Review 11.4.03-11.8.03: System Integration and System Testing 11.8-9.03: Complete Structure and Component Integration 11.8-9.03: Camera Test and Cold Test 11.10.03-11.18.03: Contingency Period 11.19.03: Final Launch Readiness Review 11.22.03: Launch Day

4 Current Status Hardware-all hardware acquired except plexiglass, mirror and pressure sensor Enclosure- construction completed (New Dimensions 10x15x15, Now using foamcore) Difficulties: very close to mass limit, mirror integration, power integration
