Introduction Design and build a roller coaster that transports an object from a start point to an end point in a specified time. The roller coaster must complete its cycle within 15 seconds or as close to it as possible. For this project, we used 8 insulator piping which cost us about $8; gardening wire, which ran us about $2.50; and duck tape, which was free. For a total of about $10.50.

Description The Circle of Death, an enjoyable ride or a roller coaster from hell? Using the influence of Olympic bobsleds, any person who gets on this is in for the time of their life. As the acceleration pushes them into a circular frenzy, friction acts in an opposite direction of the tangential velocity to slow them to an exciting yet safe speed.

Construction Issues The biggest issue we had was trying to make the track stay together. We also had an issue with finding the right height to make the roller coaster last for 15 seconds.

Conclusion Overall, this project didn’t really take us that long to finish. Most of our time came from trying to figure out how we wanted to design the roller coaster and making sure that it last 15 seconds. We are happy to be done with EF 151!!!!! YAY!!!!!!
