2 Learners and Learning Environment Lana‘i High and Elementary School, ~600 students K-12 7th Grade Life Science, ~40 students Classes: Block scheduling, 85 minutes, every other day, 10-15 students per class, often more boys than girls, include ESLL and SPED students.

3 Content - Life Science Purpose: Observe and describe the structures and functions in worms. HCPS:Classify organisms according to their degree of relatedness. HCPS:Describe the levels of organization in organisms

4 Students will: Identify worm parts and function. Discuss similarities and differences in flatworms, roundworms, segmented worms. Discuss how worms affect humans. Design and construct worm farm.
