2. 2 Abstract The goal of the project is to build a system, which allows a smart device with a Bluetooth link (hence Remote Controller or RC) to control different devices (e.g. household hardware) by establishing a wireless (Bluetooth) connection to one of the Access Points, which in their turn are connected via LAN to server with database of all devices and their possible actions

3. 3 Abstract The Connection consists of four steps: 1)Connection via Bluetooth from the RC to the LAN Access Point (hence LAP or AP); 2)Connection via LAN from the LAP to LAN Server; 3)Connection via LAN from the Server to another (second) LAP; 4)Connection via Bluetooth from the second LAP to a device

4. 4 Specifications The Remote Controller is implemented on a IPAQ with Ericsson BT unit and CE OS. The Access Point is implemented on a PC with Digianswer BT unit. The device is implemented on a DSP (TI DSK 5402.) with Ericsson BT unit. Access Point is written in JAVA,C GUI for IPAQ is written in C++
