Client DARPA Mission (from DARPA website): “The mission of this DARPA program is to extend, by an order of magnitude or more, the information management capacity of the human-computer warfighting integral by developing and demonstrating quantifiable enhancements to human performance in diverse, stressful, operational environments. Specifically, this program will empower one human’s ability to successfully accomplish the functions currently carried out by three or more individuals.” AugCog was brought on board to use the wireless motion capture lab to create a virtual environment where technology can be tested that will aid a soldier in battle.

Purpose Build a wireless virtual environment that will create stress Use biometric equipment (EEG, heart rate, etc.) to process the data Develop applications that would allow the soldier to be more effective in a high stress situation. Research (and develop) sensors and applications to learn more about the capabilities and possibilities in the field of biofeedback.
