Name: Ms. Bruce Date: October 26, 2011 The quote, “Both were dressed in denim trousers and in denim coats with brass buttons” (p.2) shows that Lennie and George may be of the lower class because of their denim wear. It seems to be an outfit that a ranch worker would wear rather than a ranch owner, which would make these men working class. I do think that Lennie killed the mouse because he has a record of killing them. An example of this is when he always killed the mice that his Aunt Clara gave him. I think that he squeezed the head of the mouse and accidently killed it. I predict Lennie will hit George because George is always mean to Lennie. He seems to pick on him and tells him what to do. One day, I predict, Lennie will stick up for himself and hit George in the face.
