12 Launch of the Year December 2010 (Japan) – Int’l Year of Biodiversity closing ceremony, bridging to IYF January 2011 (UNHQ, NY) - Official launch of IYF at UNFF9: –high level panel discussions –UN commemorative stamp series –media activities –other public events UNFF Bureau – any other ideas for other IYF launch events?

13 Next Steps in Preparations March 2010 – request for nomination of IYF focal points July/August 2010 - official web site + promotional materials (brochure, posters, etc) throughout 2010 – UNFFS to work with CBD Secretariat to link with the IYB (2010) activities
