Analysis of Study Time By:Kristin Taylor
2
Introduction: Problem Analysis: Determine how much time is spent studying on a daily and weekly basis. Time management for four classes Hypothesis: Most of the time spent studying is on weekends and increased when an exam date is near. I also believe that I am not spending enough time on subjects I find to be difficult or less interesting (ME 311). Data Collection: Data collection over a period of 4 weeks: Including study time, subject, day of the week, where, and for what reason.

Results: As I expected, most of my time is spent studying on weekends, rather than on weekdays unless I have a project due. The time I spend studying for ME 311 is for Exams, so this could be much more efficient if I spent a little time every week to study the class notes and look at problems. I found that overall I am spending more time studying for ME 311 (Fluids) but that time is spent cramming due to the fact that it is not my favorite subject and I tend to put this type of class off until the last minute. In Conclusion: According to my recorded statistics my hypothesis hold’s mostly true in that I spend the most time studying on weekends and more time studying before exams. My hypothesis was proven to be incorrect with the expectation that I was spending less time studying more difficult subjects, my data shows that I am spending more time on this subject but that it is before an exam.
