Two methods could be used for AEH interoperability: –Conversion systems –Common Language No single agreed upon language will ever cover all the interoperable options required between different systems

Use a conversion system that had a common core system with a defined API: –The core could be easily extended for specific conversions (the Plug-in method) –Results in a high degree of flexibility and extensibility –A system does not have to be designed with any single language in mind but can add interoperability functionality as desired/needed.
