3. Selecting a power point design  Two examples of power points have been created by the EEOP staff  Can use any one of these two or choose another design  Power point has over 20 different designs!!

4. Choosing colors  Use light colored font on dark colored backgrounds.  Avoid red text on a blue background – it creates a purple haze.  Avoid green text on a red background – hard to read.

5. Choosing Fonts  Choose easy to read fonts like Arial, Verdana, or Tahoma  Make font big enough to read For heading, fonts greater than 44 For messages, fonts greater than 28  Word art is good

6. Other tips  Spell check  Don’t put too many objects on one slide  Use bullets  Use phrases NOT sentences

7. More tips…  Use less words – try to limit yourself to 6 words per bullet  Limit the slide to six bullets if possible
