2 Launch Program, File>New

3 Set Width & Height Inches Resolution 72 dpi, Mode RGB

4 Image>Mode>RGB to Edit

5 Window>Layers Double Click the Background Layer & Rename to Unlock

6 After Double Clicking on the Locked Italic Background Layer Text Rename It, OK

7 View>Rulers to Control the Size of The Buttons You Create

8 Window>Layer Styles

9 Drag the Layer Styles Palette Down by the Tab in the Palette Well to Keep it Open for Making Selections

10 Layer Styles Drop-Down Menu Choices

13 With the Rectangle Tool Drag Select the Desired Button Size

14 Click on the Foreground Color Box to Select the Desired Button Color

15 Edit>Fill the Selected Color

16 The Selected Color Fills the Rectangle

17 Select the Desired Layer Style

18 If the Selection Overfills the Rectangle, Select>Inverse, & Delete Key to Remove Excess

19 Now Only Your Shape is Filled Edit>Deselect

20 Select the Crop Tool, Drag Select the Area to Keep>Return Key

21 Only Your Button Remains

22 File>Save As

23 File>Save As, Name in Lowercase,.pds & Check Layers, Save

24 Keep a.psd Copy of the Button for Adding New Text To Each Button

25 Select Text Foreground Color & Text Tool, Click and Type Title

26 The Font Tools are Along the Top & the Move Tool is on the Left

27 File>Save For Web

28 Select.gif or.jpg File Format, OK

29 Name All Lowercase With File Extension, Save to Desktop

30 Completed Button for Adding to Your Webpage
