Conditions of Learning Learning task: The student will be able to present verbal and visual information to “live” and “distance” classmates. Learned capability types: –Attitude: choose to involve both groups of classmates in presentation –Motor skills: adjust microphone, body position in front of camera, eye contact, chart paper –Verbal information: state info about personality types precisely and concisely

Motor Skills All capability types are important, but most important is motor skills External conditions describe the context; students must recall the guidelines for adjusting microphone, staying within sight lines, moving eyes Learning outcome: –ability to adjust mike –knowledge of sight lines –ability to stay within sight lines –ability to make eye contact with “live” audience and camera lens –ability to adjust charts based on video image Prerequisite: attitude of including all through A/V

Instructional Event Stimulating the recall of prerequisite learnings: –Attitude: there are two audiences in one class –Motor: turn black knob to adjust microphone height –Motor: look at “live” people and camera lens to make even eye contact with all participants –Motor: look at floor for blue sight lines –Motor: look at laptop or data projector screen to ensure body and charts are within sight lines –Motor: move if necessary
