What’s New – Health  Previously, HMO members could choose from several providers.  Department of Management Services (DMS) - solicitation for the HMO Medical Plan and Pharmacy services.  DMS awarded contracts for HMO services on a county-by-county basis. Two (2) HMO providers for Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach & St. Lucie counties will now be  AvMed and Coventry Healthcare.

4. What’s New – Health  United Healthcare (UHC) will no longer be an HMO provider for these counties.  All HMO members are required to elect a participating HMO provider for their county of residence/work, should they wish to continue in an HMO plan.  Default medical plan is Blue Cross/Blue Shield PPO plan (no change to current members).
