3. Perfunctory Definition: Adj- automatic, unthinking. Synonyms: careless, cool, uninterested, going through the motions and laid back. Sentence: After the owner announced to his workers that he was retiring, he perfunctorily made his way out the door crying, and weeping wishing he didn’t have to go.

4. Meticulous Definition: Adj- taking or showing extreme care about minute details; precise; thorough Synonyms: careful, close, correct, discriminating. Sentence: The scientist from the movie “Monster vs. Alien” meticulously studied the robot tat tried to destroy them, and the town as well.

9. Sensuous Definition: Gratifying to senses. Synonyms: passionate, pleasurable, sensual Sentence: The play and movie Romeo and Juliet, displayed a very sensuous couple who were deeply in love, but couldn’t express themselves to one another without their parents approval.

10. Prima Donna Definition: adj- indicating the most important performer or role, the lead, someone with the qualities of a diva. Synonyms: diva, first lady, headliner, lead vocalist, leading lady, opera singer, singer, soloist, star, superstar, superwoman, top liner Sentence: Nicki Minaj, a famous rapper, is known for being a prima donna, always asking for everything and thinking the world revolves around her.

11. Garrulous Definition: adj- talkative, wordy, excessively talkative Synonyms: babbling, blabbermouth, chattering, chatty, effusive, flap jaw, gabby, glib, gossiping, gushing, long-winded Sentence: Kayla, a beautiful young, athletic girl, had a downfall; very garrulous and always lost focus.

Sagacity Definition: - noun –wisdom Synonyms:, brains, clear thinking, common sense, understanding Sentence: Never in my life would I have known the true ability of where my talent could take me, with my sense of humor, my sagacity, and my intelligence; I am now the President of the United States.

14. Ravenous Definition: adj- 1.Extremely hungry; famished 2.Extremely rapacious 3.Intensely eager for gratification or satisfaction. Synonyms: avaricious, could eat a horse, covetous, devouring, edacious, empty, famished, ferocious, gluttonous, grasping, greedy Sentence: After fasting for several days because of Easter Sunday, the more, and more I kept getting ravenous.

15. Parsimonious Definition: adj- frugal or stingy, tightfisted, penny- pitching. Synonyms: tight, stingy, greedy, selfish Sentence: Everyone hated the girl, she was so parsimonious, ignorant, mean and cruel to all the others that she got expelled from school.

16. Virulent Definition: adj- highly deadly Synonyms: dangerous, poisonous, baneful, harmful. Sentence: Medusa, which had several snakes on her head, is so virulent that even she, herself, blinds herself and turns into stone.
