Cause of swine flu H1N1 (sometimes called “swine flu”) is a new influenza virus causing illness in people h1n1 flu, is caused by the orthomyxovirus which usually affects pigs but viral mutations allows the virus to cross species to other hosts like humans.

TRANSMISSION The disease can be transmitted by non wash of hands You can also get from eating pork that was has the swine flu You can also get it if some one with it sneezes and it falls in your mouth

Since the first notification of human infection with swine flu in Mexico in late April 2009, there has been rapid global spread of the disease. By the end of May, the WHO reported that there were 15,510 cases in 53 countries. The number of cases in the UK rose rapidly after the first confirmed cases in Scotland. By May 31 2009, there were 252 confirmed cases in the UK. Seventy of these had travelled to Mexico or the US seven days prior to infection, and 178 reported no overseas travel. EPIDEMIOLOGY

TREATMENT The best treatment for influenza infections in humans is prevention by vaccination. Work by several laboratories has recently produced vaccines. The first vaccine released in early October 2009 was a nasal spray vaccine. It is approved for use in healthy individuals ages 2 through 49.

PREVENTION This can be prevented by washing hands aster using the bathroom When you sneeze you cover up with a tissue paper and immediately throw it out after words Or eating pork when it has this influenza

PROGNOSIS FOR THE FUTURE Doctors inform that in the future you can keep getting the shots which put like inactivated influenza in your body to help the hosts cell recognize the bacteria and not let it settle in your system.
