HKIUG, Dec. 2002 CityU Library New features go beyond the character- based version: Provides query templates for frequently run queries Reports can be saved Provides direct export of reports to office productivity software (spreadsheets, word processing, etc.) New approach to field selection: only has to specify the record type, the range of records and any appropriate date ranges and the system reports on all fields for that record type Allows the user to schedule queries to run at any time

HKIUG, Dec. 2002 CityU Library Sample Use of Millennium Statistics: How many records were catalogued in a specified time period, breakdowns in language, specified material types etc. Counts of records in each call number range (SCAT table) Cross tabulation of one fixed-length field against another for a range of records (e.g. materials types per location codes) : useful for data health check

HKIUG, Dec. 2002 CityU Library Some Enhancement Suggestions : Number the review files Allow statistics gather from more than one record type, e.g. bib and order records More variable-length fields such as subjects and local field can be added for reporting Group all statistical functions into one module
