Eye on the Prize Saccadic Processing and Electrooculogram (EOG) John Krauss
2
A saccade; “: a small rapid jerky movement of the eye especially as it jumps from fixation on one point to another.” - Merriam-Webster Saccadic Processing – “How the brain maintains perceptual continuity across eye movements.” Overview of non-EOG elements
3
Example of Eye Movement with a Painting
4
Electrooculogram (EOG) Functions by modeling a natural dipole found in the eye. Electric Potential of the eye created between the Retina and the Cornea. Any movement of the eye causes a change in electrical differences in potential. Consists of Standard Electrodes
5
Placement of Electrodes
6
Example of Data Collected Using EOG
