What we have did to now The operation "La main à la pâte" has started in 2001; supported by the Serbian Physic Society;Vinča Institute of Nuclear Sciences; Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, the Education and Sport Ministry; the Science, Technology and Development Ministry; Euroscience - Serbia and Montenegro section; the Foreign Affairs Ministry - Direction of French and Cultural Cooperation; the Service of Cooperation and Cultural Action of the French Embassy in Belgrade (within the framework of its help program for publications); the Textbooks Publisher as well as a great number of university professors and researchers.. Since 2003, the Serbian Ministry of Education decided to propose an option "La main à la pâte - Discovering the World" (30 hours per year), for primary classes of 1st, 2nd and 3rd level (the equivalent in France of CP, CE1 and CE2 i.e. pupils of 6, 7 and 8 years old). This option allows to children a self- discovery of sciences through the experimental process and is currently followed by about 300 schools (approximately 20% of Serbian 1st level pupils).
