CAN protocol major characterization
System flexibility - Nodes may be added to the CAN without requiring any change . Multicast – any number of nodes may receive and act simultaneously upon the same message . Multi master – the node with the highest priority to be transmitted gains bus access . Data integrity – signaling and self checking in every CAN node . Fault confinement – defective node are switched off .
