Third largest Office Supply retailer in the U.S. Office Max provides office supplies, paper, technology products, furniture, and business solutions to large, medium and small businesses and consumers.Office Max OfficeMax operates in the United States, Canada, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and Mexico. They also have a strategic partnership with the European Office Supplies Alliance, which spans 19 countries on three continents.

4 History 1901 – Horders opens first store 1929 – Seven story building is built in Chicago and serves Horders until 1964. 1964 - Horders building becomes headquarters for Boise Cascade Office Solutions. 1976 – Boise office solutions moves to new, modern facility in Itasca, Illinois. 1988 – OfficeMax founded. 1989 – OfficeMax expands to 11 stores. 1991 – OfficeMax spreads into 15 states. 1993 – 300 Stores in 38 states. 1990-94 – Boise grows to 30 distribution centers. 1995 – OfficeMax reaches the web. 1995 – CopyMax introduced, store-within-store concept 1996-97 – OfficeMax expands to 500+ stores in 47 states. 2003 – Boise office solutions completes acquisition of OfficeMax and chooses to keep the name. 2005 – CopyMax changes its name to OfficeMax Print and Document Services.
