5 Key Points The goal of this training is to introduce you to the entire spectrum of innovation work While we can’t make you an expert in a few days, we can familiarize you with the tools and techniques Ultimately we hope you’ll become innovation advocates in your businesses and apply what you’ve learned

6 Innovation and Strategy Innovation is an enabler for strategy Ensure that your innovation efforts support strategic goals and align to “strategic” intent Build and communicate an innovation charter Define your innovation model and the appropriate “facets” Establish innovation goals and appropriate metrics

A good leader with the right attitude and tools can overcome the culture periodically But culture will win out eventually Work to create innovation programs while also focusing on changing the culture through: – Compensation – Communication – Community
