3. History 1921 –Renamed to Royal Technical Institute, Salford. 1958 –2 parts: Royal College of Advanced Technology and Peel Park Technical College.

4. History 1961 –Peel Park Technical College became Salford Technical Institute. Salford College of Technology (in 1970). Then University College of Salford (in 1992). 1967 –Royal College of Advanced Technology changed its name to University of Salford.
