6. The central courtyard and parade grounds of Fort Stanwix ^West Barracks^^East Freestanding^ Barracks Behind the gun is the “Adjutant's Daughter”- Also known as the whipping post. The Central Courtyard and Parade Grounds were used to train troops to march, be disciplined, and have roll call.
