Overview DNA microarrays allow the researcher to assay the transcription of a number of genes simultaneously. This technique is especially informative regarding large- scale changes in gene expression. Global analysis of gene expression is of particular interest in the understanding of cancer - a disease of gene expression. Cancer cell type and progression status can be probed using mmicroarray methods.
