1. The Al Huwailah Link Road Project (P021)
Project Location: Al Shamal and Al Khor / Al Thakira Municipalities at approx. 80 km north of central Doha on east side of Interchange N66 on Al Shamal Road / North Road‡
‡ - The North Road is the spinal road in the State of Qatar. It serves the area from the capital, Doha, to the northern coast of Qatar at Madinat Al-Shamal.

2. Project Briefs
Alignment A is approximately 12 km, with carriageways starting from dual two lane carriageways increasing to dual four lane carriageways before transitioning gradually from dual four to dual three to dual two and finally to single lane carriageway.
4 nos. signalized major junctions,
5 nos. unsignalised minor junctions,
6. cross culvert and open channel construction.
Alignment B is approximately 4 km of single lane carriageway.
15 nos. minor access junctions.

5. Scope of Work for Electricity & Qtel related Works
1. Electricity Network:
The details of construction shall be confirmed when the detail design drawings undertaken by the consultant (Hyder) and related documents approval are secured from Kahramaa.
It includes the installation of 5 nos. 11/0.415kV Package S/S, removal of 4 km over head line (OHL), installation and removal of 15 km HV cable, installation of 12 km Ducts (Type EN6, H, E as per QGEWS specs), installation of 13 km of LV/MV cables, and relevant cable jointing works.
2. Street Lighting:
Street Lighting shall be provided along Al Huwailah Link Road.
It covers the design , supply, installation and testing of street lighting poles, luminaires, feeder pillars, cables and duct work.
21km of Street Lighting Cables.
309 no Street Lighting Column High Mast.

It covers supply, installation and testing of all poles, controllers, signal heads, supports, cables and duct works, all fittings, concrete work, excavation, backfilling, compaction etc.
Ground / Gantry traffic signals & High Mast at 4 nos. of signalized traffic junctions.
Rearrangement and reprogramming traffic signals for Temporary Works.
