Difference between eubacteria and archaebacteria? Eubacteria – has cell wall made of peptidoglycan; common bacteria ex: Streptococcus, Escherichia coli ex: Streptococcus, Escherichia coli Archaebacteria – has cell wall with no peptidoglycan; known as extremophiles

Examples of Archaebacteria: methanogens – produce methane gas extremeophiles – can live in extreme situations ex: thermophiles – very hot ex: thermophiles – very hot places places halophiles – very salty halophiles – very salty places places
