From a very young age Ford enjoyed taking things apart and putting them back together. Once Ford started working with steam engines he focused on creating a lighter engine. How did Henry Ford treat his workers?
Henry Ford payed his workers an unheard of amount of $5. At the time, $5 was a very large amount, bringing employees to middle-class status. Fords payment to his workers shows the respect he had for them. He easily could have overworked and underpaid them, but he was better than that. Ford hired workers that most bosses wouldn’t. The handicap and mentally disabled could be found in Fords workplaces. This is because Ford felt that everyone deserved a chance to better themselves. Ford also cared about his workers home life, in-fact he had a sociological department check up on his workers home life regularly. Also, Ford established the highest standards in company management.

Why was Henry Ford better than the other “Robber Barons?”
Henry Ford was a humanitarian. Ford was a human being. Of course, he had his characteristic flaws, but nobody is perfect. He sacrificed his happiness to the transformation of the USA. Henry Ford distinguished himself from any other head company owner by giving more to others rather than worrying about himself. The essence of his success lies within the foundations he left behind, as charities or even his Henry Ford Hospital. The impact Ford had on the world leaves him to be defined as far from any Robber Barron.

Was Henry Ford a Robber Barron or Captain of Industry?
Henry Ford can be considered a Captain of Industry. Henry Ford was unlike any other “Robber Baron,” and no others compare to him. Ford was self-made and an outstanding man. His creation of the Model T revolutionized the industrial world. His assembly line did the same by allowing mass production throughout the industrial world. Also, he cared about others more than himself. Ford donated most of his money to charities such as the Susan G. Komen cure. Ford also established a hospital and left money for his son to establish a foundation, later known as the Ford Foundation. Fords reputation as a factory owner is outstanding as well. Ford treated his workers with the utmost respect, and he cared about them tremendously. Ford payed his workers a very high price and even hired the disabled because he felt everyone deserved a second chance. Henry Ford was solely for and a pioneer of mass production.
