Write a paragraph describing ONE of the following settings: The beach The airport A stadium (football, handball, tennis, etc) Draw on your personal experiences to make it as realistic as possible.

8 Class Activity Re-read the extract on p.99 starting from ‘He had never been fat…’ until the bottom of p.100. What changes are mentioned here?

9 Individual/Pair Task Create a timeline in your books on the changes Brian has made in the story. Ensure that you start the timeline at the beginning of the book (when Brian was on the plane) and complete up to chapter 11.

Write a Wikipedia entry about bears. Use sub-headings where necessary. Create a poster advising hikers how to avoid a bear attack. Create an educational cartoon for children that teaches them about bears.
