2 Avalanche Security Pack “Project Journey”

3 Steps to Develop a Patent Worthy Project
Our project was developed with hopes and dreams of saving lives in the future. Therefore, to get to the State level this project had to be different and out of the ordinary. After many team discussions the Avalanche Security Pack idea was born. Our Coach realized this project was extra special after the second competition we entered and filed for a temporary patent application. To do this, she contacted the U.S. Patent Commission, set up all the details, and started our journey of a lifetime.

4 Process to Gain a Patent Worthy Project: Teamwork Gets It Done…

5 Together we worked to find solutions.
Estimate all of the needs of the group each time you meet. Materials need to be readily at hand, moral support, and we are always hungry. If you feed us we will work harder! Academically we all had something unique to offer to the group and learned to utilize each other’s talents to the good of the project. Mentors are probably the most important part of your project. They are like the glue that holds it together. When everything seems terrible, they will make you feel the best. Some mentors will also bring suggestions to the team from their field of expertise that will give the project an edge. Mentors are a great supportive tool and really needed!

6 Web based research is necessary to find the perfect solutions for
Web based research is necessary to find the perfect solutions for an innovation, the estimated cost, and best market companies to use. Web based research will become the basic tool in your toolbox. Outgoing personalities, was something we had to learn to control and use to the teams benefit; this will help promote a successful project. Everyone is not the leader, everyone is equally important. Rigorous work ethics are required to have a unique and great project. This is hard work, but the reward is fun. Kindness and Gracious Professionalism is an ABSOLUTE MUST to be on our team, without it no project could ever be successful. We must be willing to share our experiences with others, and show our gratitude in everything we do.

On January 21, 2014, the Lawyers notified us that our project was worthy of being patented through the U.S. Patent Commission. Our teams lives would begin down a path never traveled on that day. On January 31,2014, the team established our official company name “The Pacurity 10 Company”.
