8.Registered Newspaper A newspaper is one which is published in regular intervals containing political or other news with or without advertisements It should be registered with the Registrar of News Papers. It should be published in intervals of not more than 31 days. It should have a bonafide list of subscribers When such a newspaper is registered with the Divisional Superintendent to avail economical transmission by post it is called as a Registered Newspaper Maximum Weight -5 Kilograms

10.Parcel Parcels are used for transmission of goods In addition to the goods one communication can be sent inside a parcel. PROHIBITIONS Articles Prohibited from Transmission by Post Anything injurious. Explosive, dangerous, filthy, noxious or deleterious substance. Any sharp instrument not protected. Any living creature which is either noxious or likely to injure postal articles or postal officer in course of transmission by post. Tickets, proposals etc relating to unauthorized lotteries (does not include lottery organized or authorized by government.) Anything indecent.
