About CASAS  Comprehensive Adult Student Assessment Systems  CASAS is not the GED  Programs (like RIRAL) that are state and federally funded are required to use a test like CASAS to: Place students into the appropriate level class Measure how much you learn from the beginning of the semester to the end

5. Computer Testing Policies 1.Please completely turn off your cellphone or make sure it is completely silent. If your cellphone buzzes or rings during the test, your test will be invalid and you will be asked to leave the testing session immediately. 2.Please clear all personal items (such as phones, keys, books, bags, etc.) off of the table. 3.No food or drink is allowed near the computers. Eating and drinking are not allowed during the test session. 4.If you are taking more than one test today, you make take a break in between tests, but not in the middle of a test.

6. Computer Testing Policies 5.No dictionaries, calculators, notebooks, or any other aids are allowed during the test session. Scrap paper and pencils will only be provided for the math test and must be collected as soon as you finish testing. 6.Proctors/Staff cannot provide any help during the test. For example: proctors cannot translate or provide the definition of a word on any test item or test question proctors cannot explain how to interpret or compute a test item proctors cannot answer if a student is interpreting the question or test item correctly proctors cannot indicate if a student’s selection is correct or not If a proctor helps a student during the test, the test will be invalid.

If you are talking during the test, your test will be invalid and you will be asked to leave the testing session immediately. 8.If you finish the test early, you must leave the testing session. Please log out of your test session and then see the proctor.

12. Computer Features Move mouse to top of screen to reveal ribbon again. Move mouse to top of right side of screen to reveal answer ribbon.

13. Computer Features Answering Questions choose one answer choose “I don’t know” if you don’t know how to answer the question

14. Computer Features Skipping Questions click the arrow without choosing an answer to skip (this question will show up blank on the review screen) a warning message will come up if you try and skip a question click “Yes” to skip the question

16. Computer Features click arrows to go to previous or next question click “Review” to go back to the review screen

17. Computer Features click “End Test” when you are finished

18. Computer Features A warning message will appear when you have 10 minutes remaining, and again when you have 1 minute remaining. When the timer ends, you will be able to finish the last question you are on before the test ends.
