Harriet Tubman Was born in 1820 or 1821. In Dorchester County, Maryland. Escaped from slavery in 1949.

What she did Conductor of the Underground Railroad. Helped 300 slaves flee the south and slavery. Was a spy during the Civil War

Her family She helped her mother and father escape slavery. Later helped bring her sister’s family to the free north.

The Underground Railroad Brought about 300 slaves to freedom Brought them to Ontario, Canada Never caught $40,000 reward for her capture This is one of the safe houses in the Underground Railroad.
