5 ALICIA GARCIA GRADE 9 3.83 GPA “Alicia is a joy to have in my classroom and a great asset to Selma High’s campus.” -Mr. Stumpfhauser

6 FELIPE GARCIA BRAVO GRADE 9 3.83 GPA “Felipe is a quiet and dependable leader who sets a positive example for his classmates. He works hard each and every day, putting 100% effort into all of his assignments.” -Mrs. Silva

7 DELILAHHERNANDEZ GRADE 9 3.83 GPA “ Delilah has the self motivation and drive I wish more of my students possessed. She is goal driven…a wonderful example of the Doctor’s Academy Program!” -Mrs. Manter

8 MARIAH LOPEZ GRADE 9 4.0 GPA “Mariah has become a shining star in her class. She is an instinctual leader and very smart. I will miss her upbeat personality and genuine smile next year when she goes on to impress other teachers on campus.” “Mariah always works hard to make sure all the members of her group succeed. 11 SYDNEY CASE GRADE 10 4.17 GPA “Sydney has been an amazing student, starting from her first day as a freshman in Math 1 up to her success in Math 2. She has been putting those skills to great use by being an Academic Mentor during the tutorial time, helping students stay on task and get work done.” -Mr. Fredericks

She tackles all of her English assignments with determination, which makes her work exemplary. I can tell that her goal is to earn an A, but the higher goal is to learn and give her best work.” -Mrs. Saponara

26 ARMANDO CARRILLO GRADE 12 4.40 GPA “Armando earned the highest math score on the Academic Decathlon team and the second highest score overall (all ten subjects). He is smart, athletic, respectful, works hard, and I predict he will thrive in college next year.” -Mr. Highbaugh

27 DEYSI GARCIA GOMEZ GRADE 12 4.0 GPA “Deysi always strives to do her best and never settles for anything less. She exhibits a high quality work ethic, built upon veneration and dignity for all, which is recognized by her peers and beyond.” -Mr. Alcoser

28 FRANK (JIOVANNI) HERNANDEZ GRADE 12 3.6 GPA “Jio is one of the most engaged and positive students I have in my classes. He comes in with a smile every day ready to discuss, participate, and complete any assignment given to him to the best of his abilities.” -Ms. Luviano

33 BALREET SINGH GRADE 12 4.0 GPA “I would not mind having a class full of Balreet’s. His great work ethic inside and outside of the classroom demonstrates his strive for excellence.” -Mr. Montemayor

36 ANISAH NAVARRO APRIL 2015 -FEMALE ATHLETE OF THE MONTH - ANISAH NAVARRO APRIL 2015 SOPHOMORE 3.17 GPA SPORT: SOFTBALL “Anisah has been an outstanding player and vital part of winning for our team. She is leading the pitching staff at 9-0 and is hitting in the heart of our lineup. She is a natural leader on the field, and has really stepped up to lead our team in the right direction. Anisah has a desire to win, that really rubs off on other players and coaches, has a great attitude, and is always wanting to get better on the field. -Coach Kubo

37 TARAN THAMRAIT APRIL 2015 -MALE ATHLETE OF THE MONTH - TARAN THAMRAIT APRIL 2015 JUNIOR 2.67 GPA SPORT: TENNIS "Making the step up to Varsity is hard, coming from JV last year. I know that from personal experience but he’s taken it by storm and come out as a strong contender for us in Singles. Tennis is 2nd nature to him." -Coach Cortina
