Choose one of the following RAFT assignments and pretend you are a character in The Giver. You will have to think like that character, based on what you’ve read. Write an argument to persuade your audience about your topic. Your argument should include a thesis, at least three reasons, a counterargument and rebuttal, and concrete details from the novel. Remember to write in the first person. Outline , Graphic Organizer Evidence of Pre-planning Rough Draft Peer Review Revision Plan Edited Draft Final Draft: Times New Roman 12 pt. The main purpose for using peer editing or small-group editing is feedback… helpful feedback. There are three steps to good peer editing: Compliment the author Make specific suggestions Mark corrections on the writing piece
