WHAT DO THESE LYRICS MEAN? #1 Life's a dance, you learn as you go. Sometimes you lead, sometimes you follow. Don't worry 'bout what you don't know, life's a dance, you learn as you go.

WHAT DO THESE LYRICS MEAN? #2 You know a dream is like a river Ever changin' as it flows And a dreamer's just a vessel That must follow where it goes Trying to learn from what's behind you And never knowing what's in store Makes each day a constant battle Just to stay between the shores

WHAT DO THESE LYRICS MEAN? #3 And I will sail my vessel 'Til the river runs dry Like a bird upon the wind These waters are my sky I'll never reach my destination If I never try So I will sail my vessel 'Til the river runs dry

SONG ANALYSIS Must include: 1.Title of song and performer (In “Life’s a Dance” by John Michael Montgomery…) 2.Summary of what the song is about and the theme of the song 3.Pick 2 poetic devices that are used in the song and write about how they affect the theme. Example: Answer: The writer uses metaphors to emphasize the fact that the journey of life is comparable to a dance, in which you don’t always know exactly what you’re doing or if you’re going to lead or follow. Prove: Everyone has ups and downs and will realize that “life’s a dance you learn as you go.” Explain: This shows that you may not always know what life has in store for you, but you will learn to adapt to your situations.
