Proprietary & confidential I. Site location (1/4) 2 Project Location The project is located in South West Banat within the Vojvodina Province, in the north east of the Republic of Serbia. Between Kovacica,Padina and Debeljaca settlements. As part of standard procedure for project finance we intend to apply to the international funding institutions (IFC,EBRD,EIB) for part financing of the project. In support of this application, we prepared an Environmental Social Impact Assessment disclosure package in accordance with the Bank’s Sustainability Policy and Environmental and Social Policy Requirements. Blacksmith Project (2/2) 3 WSP Future Energy as world’s leading global management consultancies was chosen as a consultant for ESIA The best international practices for ornithology raw data collecting and impact assessment were applied (Conservation Trust guidance 2012, Scottish Natural Heritage 2010). Methodology for raw data collecting approved by the Provincial Institute for Nature Conservation experts Observed area of 3,711 ha Birds : 6 Vantage Points(viewing dist 2.5 km) Height bands: <34m, 35-69 m, 70-199 m and 200+ m Team: 2 consultants from WSP & 4 local surveyors Bats: Surveys at height (SM2 bata detector at Mat Mast),emergence and re-entry surveys of structures, activity transects and surveys from static detectors(7 detectors on rotation covering 14 locations) Team: 2 consultants from WSP & 4 local surveyors During timed watches for birds and bats for 12 consecutive months we collected over 2400 hours field work. Independent intermediary FTP server for data sharing between WSP and local surveyors employed for data collecting was set in place as transparency tool.
