The heritage and tradition of hand-crafting the worlds finest beers dates back to 1845 at the Minhas Craft Brewery. By the 1840’s Wisconsin Mines were producing more than half the lead mined in the U.S. One Hundred and Fifty Thousand settlers had moved to Wisconsin to mine ‘Grey Gold’ The brewery, in part was built in Monroe because of the great water, naturally filtered through thousands of feet of limestone. More importantly, the business grew because of all of the thirsty miners that lived around the area. Thirsty Miner Craft Beer was created to pay homage to all of the Thirsty Miners who supported the brewery in it’s earliest days. The Minhas Craft Brewery has been continuously operating since 1845; making it the oldest brewery in the Midwest and 10 th largest craft brewery I n America.

Ale ferments more quickly than lager. Pilsner i.Clear, golden style lager fermented beer originally made in the Czech city of Pilsen IBU – International Bitterness Units measure the bitterness from the hops. One ibu is 1 mg of alpha acids per L OG – Original Gravity or specific gravity of the wart, primary contribution being sugar Shelf Life – Our beers are pasteurized, which gives them a shelf life of 1 year. Hop flavor tends to mellow out as the beer ages. Exposure to light is bad for beer, the darker the bottle, the better it is for the beer. The head of a beer protects the beer from exposure to oxygen. Proper way to pour a beer is to start by tilting the glass 45 degrees and pouring the beer on the side. As the beer is poured, slowly tilt the glass up in order to get the perfect amount of head.
