3. The name of my animal is the Sumatran Elephant.

4. The baby name is a calf.

5. The babies drink milk, adults eat leaves, grass. That elephant milk is powerful stuff.

6. My animal baby care is baby stays with mother for 10 or more years in a herd of related females.

7. The biggest animal in the rainforest is the Sumatran Elephant. Three hundred pounds at birth it will become a thousand pound baby in less than two years.

8. The elephant baby sucks on its thumb. Trunks are good for other things too sniffing, putting food and water into mouth and playing.

9. This calf is part of a big family called a herd.

10. The Sumatran elephant has smaller ears than other Asian elephants.

11. Only the males grow tusks which are used to pry bark from trees, dig up roots and used as a weapon.

12. Sumatran elephants are herbivores. It weighs between 6,000 to 16,000 pounds. Female elephants are called cows.
