Juan Diego Academy is a Christ-centered, Catholic learning community forming young men and women to answer the call to lead and be active participants in their Church and community. I was called to lead at the Mission Regional Hospital and gained about 100 hours of community service. Played in the girls soccer team. Tried to play basketball (desperately failed) Ran for Secretary in Student Council for 2015 and won. I began going to church more often and being more involved with my community in the church. Due to the quality of education, I only got A’s & B’s this year. By using a laptop I become more familiar with technology which will help me in the future. Religion III opened my mind to a brighter spectrum of my religion. I felt like I had earned the responsibility of giving back to my community by helping others through community service. I went through challenges I had never been exposed to before, such as online classes, bringing the MedEd program into JDA, and taking workshops at UTPA. On the sports field, I learned about winning and losing graciously. In the classroom, I learned that doing your best counted far more than academic ability; I learned that I was capable of more than I thought, I also learned how to study and think about ideas through writing and discussion. The high expectations and rigorous activities provided helped me out a lot. All of this and more has prepared me for the challenge of becoming a senior. WHAT I HAVE LEARNED AND EXPERIENCED THIS ACADEMIC YEAR HAS PREPARED ME FOR THE CHALLENGE OF BECOMING A SENIOR

Most tragic moment: We have a quiz today! Not knowing whether to wear a blue skirt or a gray skirt. WHAT I WENT THROUGH
