Rationale for the review of the GSDF TMR: The 10 Pillar Programme of Radical Transformation, Modernisation and Re- industrialisation NDP: National Development Plan Political Mandate SPLUMA: Spatial Planning and Land Use Management Act, 2013 requires the Premier of each province to compile, determine and publish a provincial spatial development framework for the province.” Legislation Principle policy directives: 25-Year GITMP, GEMF, GEGDS, GIIMP, GGMP, Municipal GDSs, IDPs, SDFs New policy directives

Reference Group/Think Tank The GPD will establish a Reference group comprised of representatives from the following departments and institutions. The reference group will participate in stakeholder engagements and provide input and recommendations in the review process. Reference group meetings will be held in two phases. The first will be a visioning exercise while the second will be to provide input on the draft reviewed GSDF.
