Desert Grassland Forest Rainforest The four dry-land environments are the desert, grassland, rainforest, and forest. Which dry-land environment do we live in? Science 3.6

These are our four dry-land environments. In the desert, we will find cactus and ocotillo plants. We will also find animals like camels and rattlesnakes. Next, grassland will have wildflowers and grass of course. You will find elephants and zebras in a grassland. The rain forest has thousands of different plants like bamboo and kapok trees. Many different animals live in a rain forest like the boa constrictor and toucan. We live in a forest. We can see pine trees and oak trees outside our classroom window. We also have many deer and rabbit running around our houses as well. Science 3.6

6 Desert Plants Animals Science 3.6
Let us talk about the desert first. We know the daytime temperatures are extremely hot in a desert. Therefore, the plants (CLICK) in a desert must be able to adapt to these hot temperatures. (CLICK) The ocotillo and (CLICK) the cactus adapt to a desert environment. Some (CLICK) animals found in a desert are the (CLICK) rattlesnakes. Shhhh! Let us listen to the sound a rattlesnake makes! 7 Grasslands Plants Animals Science 3.6

8 Rain Forest Plants Animals Science 3.6
You will find thousands of different types of (CLICK) plants and animals in a rain forest. Here is the Kapok tree (CLICK) . These are bamboo trees(CLICK) . The rain forest will have boa constrictors (CLICK) , toucans(CLICK) , and many more animals. Science 3.6

We live in a forest. We can see pine trees like these and oak trees like these outside our class window. Have any of you seen one of these animals around your house? Of course, we have hundreds of deer in our area. How about this animal? Yes, many rabbits run wild in the county as well. Science 3.6
