7 EXAMPLE The president should definitely ban all televisions from American homes because they harm Americans’ health. Americans no longer exercise the way they should because of watching television all night long. The article states, “Americans exercise less than any other developed nation in the world” (4). This means that Americans are more lazy than most other countries, and that is due to television. Some people might say that televisions have exercise shows for people to watch to get more healthy. However, while this is true, Americans do not watch these shows and work out to get more healthy. The article says, “Americans watch an average of 5 hours of television a day” (6). This means that they may watch the exercise shows, but they do not exercise while doing so. Therefore, Obama should remove televisions so that this no longer continues to be an issue.
