Your active involvement as parents/carers in the RSHP programme is important because: High quality RSHP education should be delivered in an objective and balanced manner by professionals who are trained for this role and who are able to support and complement the role of parents and carers as educators of children and young people Your values influence a young person’s attitudes and beliefs You are the principal source of continuing support to a young person Your relationships can be closely observed by a young person Dumfries High School Cluster 2015

I am aware of my growing body and I am learning the correct names for its different parts and how they work. Early Level - HWB 0-47b NurseryPrimary 1 1.Compare and contrast the things that are the same and the things that are different about people. 2.Identify all the parts of their body. 1.Identify how their body changes as they grow older. 2.Identify what their different body parts do. 1.I can identify the visible differences and similarities between individuals e.g. hair colour, eye colour, skin colour, size, weight, etc 2.I can names the parts that I can see e.g. knees, shoulders, elbow, bottom (no reference to genitals) 1.I can describe how the body changes as we get older e.g. taller, heavier, feet size, etc 2.I can name the body parts I can see and tell you what they do e.g. eyes, ears, nose, fingers, etc. Dumfries High School Cluster 2015

I can describe the physical and emotional changes during puberty, understand why they are taking place and the importance of personal hygiene.
