16. SPORT British Universities & Colleges Sport - BUCS 152 Universities competed in BUCS Competitions in 2013/14. Newcastle one of the largest entries: 84 teams compete in 21 different sports eg. rugby, soccer, hockey, netball on Wednesday afternoons. 30 teams compete in one off championships during the year eg. canoe, water polo, swimming, rowing etc.
