One major impact resulting from the exploitation of natural resources and the burning of fossil fuels is climate change. Climate change impacts everyone. There are many different perspectives on the use of natural resources. There are also many different perspectives on the influence of humans on climate change. These perspectives may be influenced by factors such as where one lives, one’s quality of life, and the economy.

Climate change is a major issue affecting our whole planet. It impacts our quality of life, identity, and citizenship in our community, province, country, and world. What can governments do to make a difference?

Alberta, Canada, and the United States have very important political and economic decisions to make when it comes to environmental issues and climate change. Globally, the Kyoto Protocol is an international agreement that has established targets for reducing climate change for 37 industrialized countries. As of 2007, the United States and Kazakhstan were the only two countries that had not formally approved or ratified the act.
